Holly Doll, Anpao Win (First Light Woman) (she/her) lives in Bismarck, North Dakota and is a citizen of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. First and foremost, Holly is an artist. She specializes in Lakota forms of beadwork and quillwork, which her mother started to teach her when she was just 2 years old. Holly grounds herself with cultural values passed down by her family and applies them to any artistic, cultural, and community work she does.
In addition to being an artist, Holly wears many professional hats. She has over a decade of experience in the arts and culture nonprofit field. Currently she works in collaboration with the Waterers, a collective of radical disrupters of philanthropy, as the Program Director for Ignite Rural with the Department of Public Transformation, and as a Program Manager with Arts Midwest. She is grateful to work in these spaces and works thoughtfully to intersect the varying degrees of community and artist support they offer.
When Holly isn’t working, you can find her cooking for loved ones, playing Dungeons and Dragons, or relaxing at home with her husband and their two cats.
